When one shard degrades, only the servers it handles slow down. The others keep answering normally.

How often is this page updated?

Every 30 seconds. The browser queries our API and swaps the displayed values in place, without reloading the page.

What is a Discord shard?

A shard is one connection to the Discord gateway. Each shard handles a share of the servers Ganyu is installed on.

What does the displayed latency mean?

It is the round trip between Ganyu and the Discord gateway, in milliseconds. Below 200 ms, a player sees an instant reply.

What should I do if the status is degraded or offline?

Wait a few minutes: a short incident often clears by itself. If it lasts, report it on our Discord server.
