Measure your server's pulse : on-demand activity charts with the /chart command, plus counter channels that permanently display the community's key numbers.

## Activity charts

Ganyu continuously records three activity metrics per member and per hour: messages sent, time spent in voice and reactions added. The /chart command turns this data into a readable histogram right inside Discord, along with the top 5 most active members over the period.

With no options, /chart shows the server's messages over the last 7 days. Add a member to display only their own activity.

- `/chart [type] [period] [user]`: Generates the activity histogram. Aliases: /stats and /activity.
- `/chart type:voice period:30`: Example: the server's total voice time over 30 days, with the leaderboard.

Option | Values | Role
`type` | `messages`, `voice`, `reactions` | The metric to plot (default: messages).
`period` | `7`, `14`, `30` | The window in days (default: 7).
`user` | a member | Limits the chart to a specific member (optional).

Tip: Voice time is shown in hours and minutes; messages and reactions are counted individually.

## Statistics channels

From the Statistics tab of the dashboard, create voice channels whose name updates on its own to display a key number. You choose a host category, a separator, an emoji, a label and each channel's name template.

Four counter types are available: members, members online, server boosts, and a free custom value (static text of your choice).

- Members: the server's total member count.
- Online: members currently connected.
- Boosts: the server's number of Nitro boosts.
- Custom: a fixed value you define (e.g. a link, a motto).

## Quotas and refresh rate

The number of counter channels depends on your tier: 5 on FREE, 15 on premium and 50 on PRO.

Discord only allows a channel's name to be changed twice every 10 minutes. Counters therefore refresh at that pace rather than in real time: it's a limit imposed by Discord, not by Ganyu.

Tier | Statistics channels
Free | 5
Premium | 15
PRO | 50

## Frequently asked questions

### Since when has activity been recorded?

Ganyu records activity (messages, voice, reactions) hour by hour as soon as it's present on the server. `/chart` can therefore only show data from after the bot joined.

### Why does my counter channel show an outdated number?

Discord limits channel renames to twice per 10-minute window. A counter may therefore stay on a slightly dated value for a few minutes before its next update.

### Can I see a single member's activity?

Yes: `/chart type:messages user:@member` limits the chart and the total to that member. The top 5 leaderboard is still calculated across the whole server.

### The command returns "no data", why?

There was no activity recorded for the requested type and period. Try a wider period (14 or 30 days) or a different type.

### Which metrics does Ganyu record?

Three, per member and per hour: **messages** sent, **time spent in voice** and **reactions** added. `/chart` renders that data as a histogram.

### Which periods can I display?

The `period` option accepts **7**, **14** or **30** days. With nothing specified, `/chart` shows the last 7 days.

### Is there a shorter alias than `/chart`?

Yes, `/stats` and `/activity` trigger exactly the same command with the same options.

### How many counter channels can I create?

**5** on the free plan, **15** on [[premium]] and **50** on PRO. The quota covers all of the server's counters, whatever their type.

### Which counter types are available?

Four: total **members**, members **online**, the server's Nitro **boosts**, and a free **custom** value you define yourself.

### Can I choose a counter channel's name?

Yes. From the Statistics tab of the [[dashboard]], you set the parent category, the separator, the emoji, the label and the name template of every counter.

### Does the chart include a ranking?

Yes, `/chart` pairs the histogram with the **top 5** most active members for the requested period and metric.
