Ganyu is an all-in-one Discord bot: economy and mini-games, levels, support tickets, moderation, giveaways, social alerts… This guide walks you from inviting the bot to running your first commands.

## Invite the bot

Head to ganyu.fr and click Add to Discord. Pick your server, approve the requested permissions, and that's it: Ganyu is live on your server in under 30 seconds, no credit card required.

The invite includes the applications.commands scope: it's what makes the / slash commands show up in Discord. If you don't see any commands after adding the bot, this scope is almost always what's missing. Reinvite the bot from ganyu.fr.

The requested permissions power the bot's features (manage roles for level roles, manage channels for temporary voice channels, and so on). You can remove some of them, but the matching features will be disabled.

Tip: Place the bot's role above the roles it needs to assign (level roles, auto-roles). Discord forbids a bot from managing a role positioned higher than its own in the hierarchy.

## Your first commands

Every feature is available through slash commands: type / in a channel and Discord will show the list of available commands. A text prefix also exists for a few commands (see below).

- `/help [query]`: Shows the help and lets you search for a command. Alias: h.
- `/daily`: Claims your daily reward (Ganyu Coins, tickets…) and keeps your streak going.
- `/wallet [member]`: Checks your balance and recent transactions.
- `/level`: Shows your level on the server.
- `/profil show [member]`: Shows the graphical profile card.
- `/ping`: Checks that the bot is responding.
- `/uptime`: Shows how long the bot has been running.
- `/vote`: Grabs the links to vote for and support the bot.

Tip: Most game commands create your account automatically on first use: just run /daily to get started.

## Pick your language

Ganyu speaks French, English, Spanish and Vietnamese. Each member can pick their own personal language, and an administrator can set (or even enforce) the server's. Your personal language takes priority, unless the server forces its own.

- `/language user set <language>`: Sets your personal language.
- `/language user reset`: Resets your personal language (back to the server's setting).
- `/language guild set <language> [is_forced]`: Sets the server language (admin); is_forced enforces it for all members.
- `/language guild reset`: Restores the server's default language (admin).
- `/language status`: Shows the language currently in use for you.

## Set up your server

The full configuration (economy, levels, tickets, automod, welcome messages…) happens on the web dashboard at ganyu.fr: sign in with Discord, pick your server and browse the module tabs. Check out the dashboard wiki page for a full tour.

A few quick settings are also available as commands, like /prefix <prefix> to change the server's text command prefix (admin).

Tip: You don't need to configure everything at once: each module works independently. Start with niveaux and economie, then add tickets or moderation when you need them.

## Your account and progression

Your progression exists on two levels: a per-server inventory (the bulk of your gameplay: balance, level, community-tied items) and a global inventory that follows you across every server where Ganyu is present.

No manual sign-up is needed: your account is created on the fly the moment you run your first game command. See the economie page for currencies and rewards.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Ganyu free?

Yes. All the core features are free. A premium subscription (server or player) unlocks higher limits and cosmetic bonuses. See the [[premium]] page.

### Is the bot available in French?

Yes, French is fully supported. English, Spanish and Vietnamese are also available, per member (`/language user set`) or for the whole server (`/language guild set`).

### I don't see any commands, what should I do?

Reinvite the bot from ganyu.fr to make sure the `applications.commands` scope is granted, then restart your Discord client (Ctrl+R). Also check under Server Settings → Integrations that the commands aren't restricted to certain channels.

### Do I need to be an administrator to use Ganyu?

No. Any member can play, earn Ganyu Coins, level up or open a ticket. Only server configuration (dashboard, `/prefix`, `/language guild set`) requires admin rights.

### Where do I configure each feature precisely?

On the ganyu.fr web dashboard, one tab per module. Check out the [[dashboard]] page for the full list of configurable modules.

### How long does it take to set Ganyu up?

Under 30 seconds: click Add to Discord on ganyu.fr, pick the server and confirm. No credit card, no mandatory configuration, and every module turns on independently whenever you need it.

### Can Ganyu replace several bots?

Yes, that is the point: economy, levels, tickets, moderation, giveaways, temporary voice channels and social alerts in a single bot. Fewer bots on the server means fewer stacked roles and fewer permission conflicts.

### Why can't Ganyu grant a role?

Discord forbids a bot from managing a role placed above its own. Move the bot role above the roles it must grant in Server Settings → Roles, and check that it holds Manage Roles.

### Can I restrict commands to certain channels?

Yes, with Discord's own setting: Server Settings → Integrations → Ganyu. There you allow or deny each command per channel and per role, with nothing to change on the bot side.

### Does my server need a minimum size?

No, there is no member minimum. The FREE tier unlocks every module, with lower quotas than PREMIUM and PRO. See [[premium]] for the full limits.

### How do I change the text command prefix?

`/prefix ` changes the server prefix and requires administrator rights. Slash commands stay available whatever prefix you pick.
